Writing a Memoir: When I was Young in the Mountains by Cynthia Rylant

Another Summer School idea! I used this with my group of English Language Learners! They were all at different language aquisition levels, so we got all kinds of description and "voice" in our writing. I took the kids' photos and displayed them with their poetry memoir....every child has a story!
I just put them on my TPT shop.

Below are samples of my students' memoir poems....names changed....every child has
a story!
