Summer should be:
lazy,
productive,
enriching,
casual,
full of family,
creative,
restoring, and
educational!
Thus, as a parent of 4, grandma of 1, teacher of many, I must say that there should not be too much required reading(maybe 1-2 books), lots of lazy quiet time, choice for kids, and trips to the library, lake, pool, and beach!
I created this activity to use as you see fit, and just give your children a bit of reading and writing to maintain their skills, and keep their brains open to the magic of books and writing!
